Travel: Mulhouse

26th March, 2011

Mulhouse is a big city that I’ve omitted last year as it is too close. I’ve passed it several times, for transferring the plane or the train, but never stayed. It’s truly a city at the frontier of three countries. Yet I don’t find it special enough. The center (old city) of the middle/small city looks more or less the same. Still has two particular points:
# cubism paintings (3D) on outer wall of the building featuring windows/balconies/statues/people decorating, eg: Hotel de Ville
# Temple de St.Etienne, which is a Protestant’s church but with Gothic style, thanks to the Protestant Reformation!

I didn’t visit the famous car/train museums, they’re a little far from the center of the city, I’m still wondering if they’re worthy…
